Fairfield Bay’s “Care Cap Connections” meets Thursday, February 11th, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. to make kerchiefs for giving to cancer patients.

The general public is encouraged to assist regular volunteers in the 501(c)(3) charity project.  Over 22,455 care caps have been made since 2006.

No experience is necessary.  Supervised tasks include cutting, pinning, sewing, tagging, ironing, and packaging.  Visitors to the Bay and from the surrounding area are welcomed.
The sew-in this month will be held at the St. Francis Catholic Church. Activities take place in the church parish hall.  For more information, contact Mary Philips, Care Caps founder, 884-3046, or the association’s website: www.ccvols.org <http://www.ccvols.org/> .

REMINDER:  Through March 31st, Care Cap volunteers may sign up for a free hotel night’s stay or 50% off at 53 Sage Hospitality properties such as Marriot and Hilton.  Check the web at www.giveadaygetanight.com <http://www.giveadaygetanight.com/> .   Coming next month is a special opportunity to give to Care Caps arranged by Chico’s women’s fashions at its Midtown Little Rock Store.  More information on this will follow in the FFB News.
