Halldorson Announces Run for Mayor of Fairfield Bay

Collene Halldorson announces her plans to run for mayor. She moved to Fairfield Bay in 2003. Collene is married to Alan Halldorson and has family in the local area. Her daughter, Elaine Enns, a teacher at Shirley Elementary School, and husband Kenny, have two children and live in Fairfield Bay; son, Brian, attends graduate school at the University of North Texas; and daughter Anna Murray, husband Mike and their four children live in Northern California. In addition she has a brother and numerous nieces and nephews in the area.Halldorson holds several degrees: Master of Public Administration from California State University, Chico; Bachelor of Public Administration from University of San Francisco; and Associate of Arts from Butte Community College. She retired from municipal government (city of Chico) in 2003. While working for the city of Chico, she held positions in the Police Department, Finance Department and Public Works. Halldorson is extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of municipal government, city departments, working with City Council and Commissions, and the needs and challenges of city government. If elected, she will bring this vast knowledge and experience to the office of Mayor.
Collene Halldorson is also committed to the community. She currently is a member of the Shirley School District School Board and representative to the Board of Ozark Opportunities, Inc from Shirley Headstart. In the past she has held positions in the Indian Hills Golf Association and Ladies 18-Hole Golf Association.
