Lois B. Olson Lemke, age 83, of Fairfield Bay, Arkansas, passed away Monday, February 22, 2010, at the Ozark Health Medical Center in Clinton.  Born in Chicago, Illinois, on May 30, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Mabel (Fatland) Openlander.
Mrs. Lemke was a former resident of Oak Park, Illinois, and had lived at Fairfield Bay since June of 1980.  She was a retired accounting clerk and a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary, the American Legion Auxiliary, and the Marine Corp League and Auxiliary.  Mrs. Lemke was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church at Fairfield Bay.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Lemke, on November 2, 2002.
Mrs. Lemke is survived by three sons, Larry Olson of Richmond, Virginia, Robert Olson of Bayonne, New Jersey, and Ricky Olson of Augusta, Georgia; one daughter, Gail Olson of Des Moines, Iowa; thirteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Mrs. Lemke is also survived by other relatives and her many friends.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Feb. 27, at 1 p.m. at the Faith Lutheran Church with Pastor Arthur Baisch officiating.  Cremains will be interred at Woodland Memorial Park.  Arrangements are by Olmstead Funeral Home.  www.olmstead.cc

    I am so sorry for the loss of Lois. She was a good friend of my mother in-law Shirley Jenkins who passed away 2 years ago. They were in many clubs together at Fairfield Bay and I know she spoke highly of Lois.
