Maxine M. Florance 97, of Fairfield Bay, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at Ozark Health Medical Center Clinton, Arkansas. She was born July 25, 1913 at Bushnell, Illinois the daughter of the late Allen R. and Nellie M. Burke.
Maxine married William Florance in Kansas City. He preceded her in death in 2005. Maxine served her country in the Lady Marines during WWII. Maxine was a member of Kirk of the Hills Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed staying active with many charities and was an avid reader and each morning enjoyed the papers crossword and sudoko puzzles.
Maxine is survived by a brother, Patrick Burke of Wisconsin; a sister in law, Catherine of California; nieces, nephews, relatives and many dear friends.
According to Maxine’s wishes she will be cremated and no services will be held.
In lieu of flowers please support one of the charites that were dear to Maxine’s heart; Fairfield Bay Library, Fairfield Bay Rescue Squad Team, Van Buren County Library, National Reserve Officers Association and the Kirk of the Hills Church.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home of Clinton, Arkansas.
